But what about cloning -- bringing the mammoth back to life? In 1997, a wooly mammoth (hopefully a complete mammoth) was discovered in Siberia frozen in the ice. It was excavated (still encased in the ice) and moved to Khatanga into a controlled environment where it is being studied. But will it be possible to clone it?
