Part 1: Number Values, the Alphabet &Dreams: Modern Numerology

With this system, often known as Modern Numerology, or the Mediterranean System, even though it dates back to the nineteen hundreds, the alpha-numeric divisions are quite simple, and can easily be charted for quick reference.

Numbers are 1-9 with the alphabet being the common A-Z. By dividing out the numbers across the top of the page, 1-9, and placing the alphabet characters beneath them sequentially you come up with the codic system of values for each alphabetical character:

A B C D E F G H I

J K L M N O P Q R

S T U V W X Y Z

Therefore, the numerical value of each is assigned. Since I recognize that some people absorb data in different manners, here is another way the alpha-numeric values of this system can be charted for easy reference:

1 - A, J, S

2 - B, K, T

3 - C, L, U

4 - D, M, V

5 - E, N, W

6 - F, O, X

7 - G, P, Y

8 - H, Q, Z

9 - I, R

A way in which this system is commonly used is to find a persons numeric vibration. For example, my given name at birth was LAURI JEAN GERECKE. I would break down the equivalents by using the chart as follows:

L (3) A (1) U (3) R (9) I (9) J (1) E (5) A (1) N (5) G (7) E (5) R (9) E (5) C (3) K (2) E (5)

Then, once each letter has been assigned a number, you proceed with adding them up in a series of steps:

3 + 1 + 3 + 9 + 9 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 5 + 7+ 5 + 9 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 5 = 73

Then add the numbers again: 7 + 3 = 10

Then again until you have a single digit: 1 + 0 + 1

The numerical vibration of my name under this system, as given to me at birth would be a 1. Then using the various information I've learned from the prior articles on Nordic Numerology, Pythagorean Numerology, and Basic Numerology I can infer what that numerical equivalent means.

This is useful to the dreamer in many cases, and can be especially useful if you dream repeatedly about a specific person. You can then figure out the numerical equivalent of the name by which you know them and see what numerological resonance is vibrating in your dreams. Of course, once again this is theory and tool, not hard fast answers as to why you keep dreaming about your boss, which could have significance on many levels beyond the numerological.
