Y2K and the Collective Unconsciousoften asserted that his theory of the collective unconscious was akin to instincts, much like biological drives. Humankind has always been driven to survive, whether this be a purely biological drive or an active choice of the psyche. No doubt the actions precipitated by the will to exist do imprint our realities whether it be from memory of experiences housed in a collective unconscious or in the dreams of our children who have experienced the way their elders deal with the world. Whatever the case, the Y2K phenomenon will be an inherited experience of humankind pehaps affecting our personal consciousness in both dreams and our waking reality long into the next perception of the end of the world, or at least until January 1, 2000.
