There was a time, not so long ago, when computer games were written at home and whole games were designed and written by a single person. These people were not mathematicians or scientists, they were school kids, hobbyists, and normal everyday people. This golden age of game development seems to have all but disappeared with the demise of small home computers and the introduction of the PC. The PC however is a great and versatile machine which is ideal for amateur game development. This site has been designed to help people get started in designing and creating their own computer games.
