Here's a list of some great Sci-Fi TV shows worth watching when the snow, ice and fridged temperatures (especially in Canada and the northern US) keep you held hostage this winter. Check your local listings for times and dates.

The Sci-Fi Channel's "Taken" - An original mini-series from the Sci-Fi Channel about UFO abductions over the course of some fifty years. "Taken" stars Steve Burton, Joel Gretsch, Eric Close, Julie Benz, James Kirk and Desmond Harrington.

"X-Files" - Relive your favourite "X-Files" moments with repeats of the popular series. "X-Files" stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

"Enterprise" - The fifth show in the ongoing "Star Trek" saga. Watch for interesting plot twists coming up. "Enterprise" stars Scott Bakula, Dominic Keating, Jolene Blalock, Connor Trinneer, Anthony Montgomery, Linda Park and John Billingsley.

"Stargate SG-1" - A great series based on the feature film entitled "Stargate" that starred Kurt Russell. "Stargate SG-1" stars Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Don S. Davis, Terry Rothery and Corin Nemec.

"Babylon 5" - Relive the excitement of the J. Michael Straczynski classic "Babylon 5." "Babylon 5" starred Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian, Mira Furlan, Bill Mumy, Jerry Doyle, Andreas Katsulas, Michael O'Hare (first season and pilot), Patricia Tallman (seasons three to five and pilot), Jason Carter (seasons three and four), Stephen Furst, Richard Biggs, Peter Jurasik and Joshua Cox.

"Xena: Warrior Princess" - A hit Sci-Fi/Fantasy series about two women who travel ancient Greece saving lives and helping people. Relive all of your favourite "Xena: Warrior Princess" moments. "Xena: Warrior Princess" starred Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor.

"Birds of Prey" - A new series set in Gotham City (yep...the same city as "Batman"). Cool series, a spin-off of sorts of "Batman." "Birds of Prey" stars Dina Meyer, Shemar Moore, Ashley Scott and Rachel Skarsten.

"Black Scorpion" - An interesting series about a female caped crusader. "Black Scorpion" stars former "V: The Original Mini-Series" Robert Prine, Michelle Lintel, Scott Valentine and Shae Marks.

"Tracker" - The new Adrian Paul Sci-Fi series about an alien who brings other aliens to justice. "Tracker" stars former "Highlander" star Adrian Paul, Amy Price-Francis, Leanne Wilson and former "Forever Knight" star Geraint Wyn Davies.

Other series worth mentioning are: the rest of the "Star Trek" shows ("ST: TOS," "ST: Voyager," "ST: TNG" and "ST: DS9"), "Relic Hunter," "Star Hunter," "Farscape," "The Outer Limits" (both the US and Canadian versions), "The Invisible Man" and "Immortal." Also worth watching..."Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and it's spin-off "Angel."
