Demon Under Glass – A Review

"Demon Under Glass" is a Sci-Fi film made 'for fans by fans.' The same people who created the upcoming series "The Privateers," D. L. Warner (writer) and Jonathan Cunningham (director and writer), produced the film.

"Demon Under Glass" stars Jason Carter (best known to fans as Ranger Marcus Cole from the hit series "Babylon 5") as Simon Molinar, Garrett Maggart (best known as Blair Sandberg from the popular UPN series "The Sentinel") as Dr. Joseph McKay and Denise Alessandria Hurd (who has appeared in several theatrical projects including Shakespeare's "A Mid Summer Night's Dream" and will portray Commander El-Minya in "The Privateers") as Gwen Taylor.

Also starring in "Demon Under Glass" are Jack Donner (who has appeared in several TV series including two popular Sci-Fi shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Roswell") as Dr. Richard Bassett, James Kiberd (best known as Detective Trevor Dillon from ABC's daytime drama "All My Children") as Dr. Samuel Hirsch and David Jean Thomas (who has appeared on several Sci-Fi TV shows including "SPACE: Above and Beyond" and "Conan: The Adventurer") as Leroy Smith.

Other actors appearing in the film are Harrison Young as James Conroy, Scott Levy as Captain Charles Stuebbins, Ray Proscia as Benjamin Yarmall and Kira Reed as Chloe Martin.

The film is set in the city of Los Angeles, where a serial killer is on the prowl. The killer seeks out young females, brutalizes them and drains them of their blood. The Police have a major roadblock in their attempt to capture and stop the brutal killings.

The problem? The killer leaves behind no trace of evidence that the Police Department's forensics experts can use to catch him. All the while the number of victims is growing. So...a task force is set up between the LAPD and the FBI to try and catch their man.

Officer Gwen Taylor (Hurd) volunteers to help catch the killer by posing as a potential victim. However, the FBI hasn't told the LAPD all that they know concerning their killer, a man that they call Vlad.

The FBI knows that his is no ordinary run of the mill serial killer. They know that the man they are chasing is a vampire. Yep...a real honest to goodness (or should that be badness) blood sucking vampire, a force of great darkness and greater evil.

The name of the game they are playing is "Survival and Knowledge." A dangerous game when the hunter meets a healer and the "lust for blood" rises with each new victim. Good versus evil...dark versus light...healer versus hunter, but which one is real monster? In the game of "survival?" Anyone...
