Starship II: Rendezvous with Ramses – A Review

In my opinion the entertainment industry as a whole is littered with film and television projects that are really strange and confusing, mediocre, lousy and totally boring or highly entertaining.

From what I've read about "Starship II: Rendezvous with Ramses" it seems to fit into the 'highly entertaining' category and simply based on it's cast alone it may be an exceptionally popular comedy film.

"Starship II: Rendezvous with Ramses" is the sequel to the 1997 film "Rock N' Roll Starship." The story has the characters of Bob Dinver (played by Ellis James), Jorge Jettsonn (played by Logan Michaels) and Doug Froog (played by Mike Williams) returning in a 'comedy of errors' so to speak.

They start out in a heap of trouble (speeding ticket, going to court that sort of thing). Then they get out of the legal bind and find themselves hurtling though space courtesy of a "time travel Stargate" seven years into the past, where they attempt to clear their names and stop themselves from destroying the Ramses Colony.

Right. With me so far? Good. Because now it gets really interesting. They change history so that they didn't destroy the colony, but end up causing a worse mess than they could have ever dreamed of.

An evil android named Zake (played by Christopher Tracy) took over the Earth instead. Don't you hate it when that happens? Anyway they have to go back through time and...yep you guessed it attempt to destroy the colony again.

The cast of this upcoming Science Fiction Comedy includes several well-known stars. The actors include Jason Carter (best known as Ranger Marcus Cole of J. Michael Straczynski's hit series "Babylon 5") as Commander Deckins and John Astin (best known for his role as Gomez in the classic series the original "Addams Family" as Professor Peabody).

Also appearing in the film is Richard Biggs (best known for his role as Doctor Stephen Franklin of J. Michael Straczynski's hit series "Babylon 5" and most recently he's been seen on the Daytime drama "Guiding Light") as Sergeant Franklin.

Another well-known actor taking part in the film is former "Battlestar Galactica" star Richard Hatch. Hatch plays John Alpha, John Beta, John Delta and two other characters.

I found out about this great film quite by accident. I was surfing around checking out the latest news around the Sci-Fi Universe when I stumbled onto a link for "Starship II: Rendezvous with Ramses."

I clicked on the link and saw to my surprise the words "Jason Carter" and "Commander Deckins." So naturally I followed up on it and am thrilled that I did.
