According to the Sci-Fi Wire, "X-Files: Fight the Future" director Rob Bowman told them that he would be willing to direct the second "X-Files" feature film if asked and if one is made.

He reportedly told the news arm of the Sci-Fi Channel web site that if "X-files" creator Chris Carter asked him to direct the second film he would "as long as it" provided him with a challenge.

The Sci-Fi Channel will reportedly be airing the premiere of "William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night" at 11 pm EST/PST on August 3rd. This is a change from the original airdate of July 20th. The series headlines the former "Star Trek" star hosting 13 horror films from Full Moon.

The official teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel of "The Lord of the Rings" has gone live. "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" opens December 18th. Check out the trailer.

The TrekToday site has a link posted to the teaser poster for the next "Star Trek" Feature film "Star Trek: Nemesis." The film opens December 13th and the teaser trailer is set to start appearing in theatres this weekend.

According to the Sci-Fi Wire, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" star Patrick Stewart (also of the hit Sci-Fi feature film "X-Men" and "X-Men 2") told the British magazine British Empire that he almost turned down doing the tenth "Star Trek" feature film.

Reportedly, Stewart told the magazine that salary negotiations with the studio nearly sank his participation in the film. Stewart is quoted as saying that he was "a breath away from saying this is not worth my time."

The well-known actor also expressed his 'irritation' at the presence of the script for "Star Trek: Nemesis" being available on the Internet. Stewart reportedly mentioned that it annoys him greatly that the "Star Trek" film script would be out there whereas with the "X-Men 2" the scripts have the actor's name and a code on 'every page.'

NBC is reportedly developing a new TV film version of "Carrie," which is based on the novel by well-known horror writer Stephen King. According to Zap2it.com, Angela Bettis will be portraying the telekinetic teenager who takes revenge on her 'peers' at their prom.

Reportedly also appearing in the new version of "Carrie" are Patricia Clarkson, David Keith, Jasmine Guy and Emilie de Ravin (from "Roswell"). The film will be aired sometime in the fall.

The Sci-Fi Channel has ordered 13 episodes of a new series called "Scare Tactics." The series is a 'hidden camera reality series" that will examine people's fear of UFOs, ghosts and other assorted phenomena for laughs. The series will reportedly be hosted by former "Charmed" star Shannen Doherty.
