Sci-Fi TV Recommended Reading

Here's a list of Books from the Sci-Fi TV genre I think you'll enjoy.

Enterprise: By the Book By Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch - A novel in the "Star Trek" legacy "Enterprise: By the Book" is an interesting story in the continuing saga of Captain Jonathon Archer and the crew of the "Enterprise."

In this story the crew attempt to make first contact with the Fazi, an "ultra-regulated" culture who haven among other things "strict conversation protocols" and unvaried designs for their building structures.

Archer's first contact with the Fazi leader is disastrous and he finds himself depending on T'Pol, his science officer, and Hoshi Sato, his communications specialist, for help in mending relations with the Fazi, and as well as solving the mystery of the "other creatures" that live on the other half of the planet.

The Genesis Wave Book Three By John Vornholt. - "The Genesis Wave Book Three" is 304 pages of fast paced "Star Trek: The Next Generation" action and mystery. The third and final book in the "Genesis Wave" apocalyptic adventure series, which pits Captain Jean Luc Picard and crew against "a disaster of universal proportions".

A wave of Genesis energy sweeps across the Alpha Quadrant at a tremendous speed wiping out whole planets and their inhabitants. In the last book the Enterprise and crew stopped the wave and the aliens who unleashed it saving trillions of lives in the process.

However, the "wave" weakened the walls of between "our dimension" and the "one right next door." A dimension that holds a deadly threat. Can Picard and crew once again save the universe? Check out "Genesis Wave Book Three" to find out.

"Searcher" By Bruce Boxleitner - Written by Babylon 5 and Scarecrow and Mrs. King star Bruce Boxleitner "Searcher" continues the saga of "Macklin", a gunman in 19th century Earth, that began in "Frontier Earth."

It's an entertaining and engrossing story that's part Sci-Fi and part Western. It maybe surprising to some, but "Searcher" really is a hard book to put down. "Searchers," set about a year after Frontier Earth is a captivating contrast between the age-old "Humans vs. Aliens" and "Indian (Apache) vs white man" conflicts. A soundly written tale by one of my favourite actors.
