"Star Trek: The Original Series" star Nichelle Nichols has a new book out called "Saturna's Quest." The novel, a sequel to "Saturn's Child," was published in February. Also check out her great official website. The official "Star Trek" site has the "first official "Star Trek: Nemesis" crew photo" that to be released. The photo has Worf, Data, Picard, Riker and Geordi together on the bridge of the Enterprise-E. According to a report on the official "Star Trek" site, spoilers for the new "Star Trek" film were given at Creation Entertainment's "Star Trek" Grand Slam convention. According to the Sci-Fi Wire, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" alumni Jonathan Frakes told them that he will be directing the pilot of the "updated" version of the classic "The Twilight Zone" which will be aired on UPN. Also watch for the "Clockstoppers," Frakes' upcoming Sci-Fi family film, which opens March 29th. According to the Sci-Fi Wire, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" alumni Michael Dorn will be directing an upcoming episode of the new "Star Trek" series "Enterprise." I'm not sure of the title of the episode but I'll keep you updated. X-Files News According to a report on the Sci-Fi Wire site, "X-Files" creator Chris Carter told them that it was his decision to end the hit series. According to the report, Carter told them that he made the choice during the Christmas holidays because of the increasing drop in the "X-Files" ratings. The show's ratings took a beating when it began its ninth and final season. Its season premiere, part one of "Nothing Important Happened Today," went up against "Saving Private Ryan" along with an "I Love Lucy" special and the second part of "Nothing Important Happened Today" went up against a Britney Spears concert. Carter also reportedly told Sci-Fi Wire that he hopes that people will say, "God, we'll really miss this show." The two-hour finale, entitled "The Truth," will air on FOX on May 19th. Other Sci-Fi TV News TV Guide Online reported that NBC will be reviving its 1980s sitcom "ALF" as part of a 75th anniversary special sometime this spring. The online version of the popular TV guide also reported that according to the New York Daily News the lovable furry character "ALF" from the well-known alien sitcom might also be hosting his own "talk show."
