Sci-Fi TV NewsBuffy the Vampire Slayer News "Buffy the Vampire Slayer's" Anthony Stewart Head who portrayed Giles , will be adding his voice to three segments of the BBC radio version of the popular "Doctor Who" series for Big Finish Productions. Head's performance for the "Excelis" series of the "Doctor Who" chronicles will air sometime in February. According to Cinescape's website, the creator of the hit series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," Joss Whedon, has confirmed the rumours that he was under consideration to direct the film version of Marvel Comics "Iron Man." The project, which is currently in 'pre-production', will make Whedon's first 'major motion picture' directing debut. However, don't look for the film anytime soon, details of the film are currently still being hashed out. The first season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is coming to a DVD near you January 15th, 2002. FOX Home Entertainment recently announced the upcoming release of the season one DVD set, which will include all twelve of the first season episodes and feature commentary by creator Joss Whedon. The DVD set will also include interviews with Whedon and David Boreanaz (who plays Angel on "Buffy" and "Angel"), the original trailer, DVD-ROM links, images, bios and the pilot script. The set will carry the price tag of $39.98 US. Star Trek News Production has begun on the tenth "Star Trek" feature film, which is entitled "Nemesis." According to the official "Star Trek" website, the filming began on November 26th around around Palmdale and Lancaster California. The site reported that Patrick Stewart (who plays Captain Picard), Michael Dorn (who plays Worf) and Brent Spiner (who plays Data) spent four days in the area north of Los Angeles filming 'desert-planet scenes.' According to Cinscape Online, actor Tom Hardy gave out some details of his role in the upcoming "Star Trek" film, "Star Trek X: Nemesis" in an interview given to promote "Black Hawk Down." Hardy will be playing a villain named Shinzon in the tenth "Star Trek" feature. In the interview, Hardy reportedly revealed what some might call a "major spoiler," which I'm not going to reveal in deference to those who would rather not be 'spoiled.' I will say that the film has sparked my curiosity and I'm looking forward to seeing it next year. Futurama News A "long lost" episode of FOX's series "Futurama" will be airing this Christmas. The controversial "X-mas" episode of series, in which Coolio guest stars in as Kwanzaabot, will be shown on December 23rd in the "X-Files" slot.
