Wolf Lake

According to Variety the premiere of CBS’ new “supernatural drama” Wolf Lake placed third among the top networks. The trade paper reported that Wolf Lake came in behind ABC’s 20/20 and a re-run of Law & Order, which ran on NBC.

Also according to Variety the series, starring Lou Diamond Phillips, gave it’s network it’s best ratings performance the 18-49 age demographics. Which is a 13 percent hike from one year ago in the same timeslot. But, according to the trade paper, the series failed to be the draw the network had hoped for.

Star Trek

Paramount has given the go ahead to the new Star Trek movie. According to Variety, the 10th Star Trek feature film, Star Trek: Nemesis, will begin shooting on November the 28th. As previously reported the crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Enterprise will be the featured crew for the film, including Patrick Stewart and Jonathon Frakes.

Angel

The WB has announced that Angel will be airing in wide screen format, also known as letterbox. The series is a spin-off of the popular series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and made it’s season premiere on Monday.

With the new season of Angel comes a new regular cast member in the form of actress Amy Acker.
