The character to be portrayed by Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless now has a name. According to various reports, Lawless will be portraying Shannon McMahon. Although the details are still unclear about the character, fans are anxiously awaiting the first two episodes of the popular series which are entitled "Nothing Important Happened Today parts I and II".

Marc Blucas reportedly told the Sci-Fi Wire that his character, Riley, may not appear in the new season of Buffy. According to the report on the Sci-Fi Wire, Blucas and Whedon have discussed Riley's departure and his eventual return to Sunnydale, however they have yet to come up with a way to make it happen around the actor's schedule.

3rd Rock from the Sun star French Stewart will be portraying Inspector Gadget in the upcoming 'direct to video' movie Inspector Gadget 2 from Disney. The film is a sequel to the 1999 film of the same name which starred Matthew Broderick.
