Sci-Fi TV News WatchWolf Lake News According to Variety, a new cast member has been added to the cast of the upcoming CBS series Wolf Lake. Mia Kirshner will reportedly portray a character named Ruby Kates, who is the missing daughter of a important Wolf Lake leader. Wolf Lake will be airing on CBS on Wednesdays at 10pm starting this fall. Buffy the Vampire Slayer News Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, offered fans at the International Comic-Con in San Diego some details on the 'proposed' BBC spin-off series that would centre on Anthony Stewart Head's character, Giles. Whedon reportedly told fans that the series would delve into the theme of loneliness and be made in the tradition of the "classic English ghost stories". He also added that the series has not been given the go ahead, but that he is in the process of working out a deal with the BBC for a six episode series. Shooting for the pilot is slated for the spring of next year. At that same convention, Whedon told fans that Dark Horse Comic will be coming out with a new "Tales of the Slayer" series. The new series will tell the tales of slayers throughout history and will be written in part by writers from Buffy. Xena's Alexandra Tydings and Babylon 5's Claudia Christian News Alexandra Tydings and Claudia Christian have teamed up for a possible new series entitled Hourglass. It's the story of two friends (Chris Michaels to be played by Claudia Christian and Aeysha Blackthorn to be played by Alexandra Tydings) who have been trying all their lives to unlock the mysteries of "Time Travel". The series is still in the developmental stages. Other Sci-Fi News According to the Sci-Fi Wire, a spokesperson from UPN denied a previously reported rumoured report in Entertainment Weekly that The Dead Zone, the upcoming midseason replacement series based on the Stephen King novel The Dead Zone, was in limbo. The series, which will star Anthony Michael Hall, is still on the spring UPN schedule. Well-known horror writer Stephen King has a weekly series coming out for the 2002-03 TV season. The series is entitled The Kingdom and will air on ABC. The upcoming show is a supernatural series about a haunted hospital, which has been built on a graveyard and brings about strange occurrences, such as a phantom ambulance visiting the hospital each night.
