The deadline for a new contract between 20th Century Fox and the WB Network is March 1st. The contract is for the network to keep airing the hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer and observers of the talks are not at all optimistic that the two companies can work out a deal.
The Official Star Trek site has details on the next few episodes leading to the final two hour episode, during which Voyager and crew would hopefully make it back home to Earth. But, reports of the final two episodes are still being firmly and closely guarded. The WB network will reportedly be pre-empting its hit series Roswell from the 5th of March until the middle of April. The network is doing this so it can showcase Gilmore Girls. Star Trek: TOS’ William Shatner has married again. He married Elizabeth Martin, a horse trainer. Shatner has for the last 11 years been involved in a charity horse show entitled the William Shatner Hollywood Charity Horse Show and his love of horses is well known. Richard Hatch (Captain Apollo) one of the original Battlestar Galactica stars, well known for his unsuccessful attempts to rekindle the franchise, has posted an “open-letter” to Bryan Singer and Tom DeSanto on his site. The letter is in reaction to the news that the partners would be doing a new Battlestar Galactica series. The project will be a Studios USA project and is currently being developed. In the letter Hatch challenged Singer and DeSanto to live up to their statements, in which they said that they would listen to the concern of Battlestar Galactica’s fans. Many Galactica fans had supported Hatch’s dream of bring the series back with many of the original cast members. Trivia Question: What Star Trek actor appeared on the original Mission Impossible?
