The deadline for a new contract between 20th Century Fox and the WB Network is March 1st. The contract is for the network to keep airing the hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer and observers of the talks are not at all optimistic that the two companies can work out a deal.

What the final decision will be remains to be seen…although if a deal isn’t worked out there are plenty more networks for the series to be farmed out to including UPN and ABC, with the WB still having the option to match any other offer made by another network.

The Official Star Trek site has details on the next few episodes leading to the final two hour episode, during which Voyager and crew would hopefully make it back home to Earth. But, reports of the final two episodes are still being firmly and closely guarded.

Richard Hatch (Captain Apollo) one of the original Battlestar Galactica stars, well known for his unsuccessful attempts to rekindle the franchise, has posted an “open-letter” to Bryan Singer and Tom DeSanto on his site.

In the letter Hatch challenged Singer and DeSanto to live up to their statements, in which they said that they would listen to the concern of Battlestar Galactica’s fans. Many Galactica fans had supported Hatch’s dream of bring the series back with many of the original cast members.
