Bruce Boxleitner, the star of the Sci-Fi classic film Tron and the hit Sci-Fi TV series Babylon 5, told the Eon magazine site that he would be willing to appear in the proposed sequel to Tron, Tron 2. Director Steven Lisberger is reportedly working on the script for the sequel and the plot of the new Tron apparently does not include any of the original characters.

Boxleitner also told the Eon that he wonders whether or not any new Babylon 5 project would be able to get off the ground. Meanwhile, Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski told fans recently that he is in talks with the Sci-Fi channel on a variety of projects reportedly set in the Babylon 5 universe. According to the Sci-Fi wire, a spokeswoman for the Sci-Fi channel only confirmed that talks about "unspecified projects" are in progress.

But even so Boxleitner is unconvinced. He told the site that Time/Warner (which is now owned by AOL) will be asking, 'Where is the money to be made?' The actor also said that it isn't about what the fans want or whether it would be 'cool', it's about how much money can be made from something. He added that the Syndication market is "disappearing" and that if the Sci-Fi channel were going to rekindle Babylon 5 that they should continue to do the two-hour television movies, because he thinks, "it's viable".
