Sci-Fi TV newsAccording to Variety, Fox is renewing Futurama, its Sci-Fi animated series. The network has reportedly ordered another 18 episodes for next season, the show's fourth. Sam Raimi's brother, actor Ted Raimi (Joxer on Xena: Warrior Princess) and friend Bruce Campbell (Jack on Jack-Of-All-Trades, Autolycus on Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) will reportedly both have cameo roles in the upcoming Spider-Man feature film. Veteran British actor Derek Jacobi is reportedly in talks to portray the wand salesman, Mr. Ollivander, in the upcomingfilm version of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, according to the Empire Online site. Sad news: Ray Walston, who played Uncle Martin in the1960s series My Favorite Martian and later reprised his role in the feature film remake which starred Christopher Lloyd as the new Uncle Martin, died on January 2nd at the age of 86 in Beverly Hills California, of natural causes. Sci-Fi fans may also remember Walston as Boothby, the Starfleet Academy gardener, on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager. According to the SFX Network site, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Giles, Anthony Head, reportedly told the British Big Breakfast television show that he would like to 'scale back' his role as Watcher on the series. During the interview with the morning show's hosts Johnny Vaughn and Denise Van Outen, the British actor is reported to have said he would like to spend more time with his family, which is based in England. According to his Official site Bruce Campbell will be battling an evil mummy in an upcoming horror/comedy feature film entitled "Bubba Ho-Tep". The actor is best known to horror fans as Ash in the Evil Dead series of films. He will reportedly play "a geriatric old geezer, a 70-year-old in a rest home who thinks he's Elvis".
