Time TraxMany of you may remember the short-lived series entitled Time Trax. The series starred Dale Midkiff as Captain Darien Lambert, Elizabeth Alexander as Selma and veteran actor Peter Donat as Mordicai Sahmbi. The story involved a time machine called TRAX. As the first season opened, the series began it's slow and oft-times rocky journey on the Television road. The premiere episode began in the year 2193 where a scientist (Donat) created a time machine called TRAX, which stood for "Trans-time Research And eXperimentation", and then turned to an evil, and somewhat mad, man. He used TRAX to aid him in his evil ways, freeing criminals and sending them through time to do their dirty deeds. Enter the lawman with a cause... Darien Lambert of the Fugitive Retrieval unit. Alone with only one weapon and a computer named Selma, which stood for the "Specified Encapsulated Limitless Memory Archive", he traveled through out time to search for and bring back each criminal fugitive Sahmbi freed. Whilst on this mission he kept the knowledge that his could not return home until he captured all of the criminals. The show lasted just two seasons (1993-1994), with the last episode airing in the US and Canada on the 16th of January 1995. The series was continually pre-empted, and it's timeslot moved repeatedly shifting it to the bottom of the ratings pool. However, the premise behind the show was a good one, which made for an enjoyable show, but the network's shifting schedule, like many other good Sci-Fi shows before it, knocked the series out of the running practically before it had a chance. Trivia Question: What Sam Raimi/Rob Tapert horror film trilogy did Bruce Campbell star in? Last Week's Question: Who played the Borg Queen in the Star Trek: Voyager two-part episode Dark Frontier? The Borg Queen was played by Susanna Thompson. For what's new on Sci-Fi TV at Suite101.com, sign up for the Sci-Fi TV update list.
