The Way of the WarriorKlingon warriors are known through out the Star Trek Universe for their fierceness, honour and courage. They are the leading fighters of universe created by Gene Roddenberry, at least they were until the Borg and the Jem Hadar. Although, being born Klingon gives you a temper that could stop a charging rhino at one hundred paces the path to becoming a Klingon warrior takes a great deal of courage, dedication and fearlessness. There are many rules that warrior trainees must adhere to if they are to become a member of the elite army of one of the universe's most feared races. Below are a few of the important lessons a prospective Klingon warrior must learn. Number one: If you are afraid to die, you have already died. (From the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Power Play.) Number two: To understand life, endure pain. (From the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Icarus Factor.) Number three: Trust your instincts. (From Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Heart of Glory.) Number four: Real power is in the heart. (From the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Rightful Heir) Number five: Honour is more important than life. (From Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes Sins of the Father, New Ground and the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode The Way of the Warrior.) Number six: Brute strength is not the most important asset un a fight. (From the Star Trek: TNG episode Sins of the Father.) Number seven: A Klingon warrior is always prepared to fight. (From the Star Trek: DS9 episode Blood Oath) Number eight: Klingons do not surrender. (From the ST: TOS episode Day of the Dove, the ST: TNG episode The Emissary and ST: DS9 episode The Way of the Warrior) Number nine: Better to die on our feet than live on our knees. (From Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) and Finally... Number ten: If a warrior ignores duty, acts dishonourably or is disloyal, he is nothing.
