The Invisible Man is a new series on the Sci-Fi Channel about a small time thief, Darien Fawkes (played by Vincent Ventresca). Fawkes gets sentenced to life in prison for a crime he mostly didn't commit. He is then put into a top secret government project, which is managed by The Official (played by Eddie Jones), conducting experiments on invisibility. During the experiments, of which Fawkes' brother is the head scientist, they implanted a gland in Fawkes that releases a substance called "Quicksilver" into the base of Fawkes' skull. The "Quicksilver" allows him to become invisible when ever he wants.
Fawkes is partnered with Agent Bob Hobbes (played by Paul Ben-Victor), who is a "company man" and more than willing to get "his hands dirty". Hobbes is also smart, streetwise, cynical and has a "huge" chip on his shoulder because the new kid on the block, Fawkes, has a higher level of security clearence. The latest episode of The Invisible Man is "Ralph". In this episode, a young girl becomes a sniper's target and Fawkes pretends to be her imaginary friend in order to protect her. Other upcoming episodes include.... "Liberty and Larceny" and "The Devil You Know". The Invisible Man is Ventresca's first time out as a series' lead actor, although he is no stranger to Sci-Fi series or to TV shows. He's best known to Sci-FI TV fans as Dr. Ed Tate in the short-lived ABC series Prey. He also had roles in Boston Common, Friends and several other shows. This Week's Question: In what Xena episode did Xena say to Gabrielle, "Even in death Gabrielle... I will never leave you!"? Last Week's Question and Answer: What Space: Above and Beyond actor guest starred on Babylon 5? Tucker Smallwood. Sci-Fi TV at Suite101.com now has it's own mailing list.
