26th Annual Saturn Awards

This year's Saturn Awards were announced on June 7, 2000 in Century City, California . The Sci-Fi Awards, hosted by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, recognize the best in Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror in both the film and television genres.

This year's ceremony was hosted by Xena Warrior Princess' Lucy Lawless and Jack of All Trades' Bruce Campbell, who is also know for his roles in The Evil Dead and Army of Darkness.

Stephen King's The Green Mile was the big winner in film, garnering three awards which included Best Action/Adventure/Thriller Film, Best Supporting Actor (Michael Clarke Duncan) and Best Supporting Actress (Patricia Clarkson).

The Matrix won for Best Science Fiction Film, Being John Malkovich for Best Fantasy Film, and The Sixth Sense for Best Horror Film. Tim Allen won Best Actor for Galaxy Quest and Christina Ricci won Best Actress for Sleepy Hollow.

Other winners included:

Now and Again for Best Network Television Series
Stargate SG-1 for Best Syndicated Television Series
Stephen King's Storm of the Century for Best Single Television Presentation
Best Actor on Television went to David Boreanaz for Angel
Best Actress on Television went to Margaret Colin for Now and Again
Best Supporting Actor on Television went to Dennis Haysbert for Now and Again
Best Supporting Actress on Television went to Justina Vail for Seven Days

Several Special Awards were presented including the Life Career Award to both Dick Van Dyke and George Barris, and the President's Award which went to Richard Donner.

Yeah...I watched parts of it. Didn't really care for the goofy stuff at the start of it though. LOL!!! Those guys were sooo...out there!

But all in all, what I saw of the actual awa ...

Just wondering if you had the chance to see the live webcast of the saturn awards? I watched the whole thing and it was the best awards show I've seen! It's so much better when your favorite stuff is ...
