According to reports in the Hollywood Reporter, Star Trek: TNG's Jonathan Frakes is set to direct the new Sci-Fi comedy for Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies entitled Clockstoppers. Producter Gale Anne Hurd of The Terminator will reportedly produce the movie. The movie will tell the story of a gang of children who have the ability to stop time.

The SCI-FI Channel is bringing Frank Herbert's novel Dune back to television in a six-hour miniseries in December of this year. The miniseries, currently shooting in Prague, will star William Hurt as Duke Leto Atreides, Giancarlo Giannini as Emperor Shaddam the IV, Alec Newman as Paul Atreides, Matt Keeslar as Feyd and Barbara Kodetova as Chani.

Jeremy Bulloch who portrayed Boba Fett in two of the Star Wars movies, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, has reportedly told the MovieCrypt site that his son, Robbie, is under consideration for the role of a younger Boba Fett in the next two Star Wars movies.

The X-Files' Dana Scully, played by Gillian Anderson, will be getting a new partner. Chris Carter, creator of the hit show, reportedly told Entertainment Weekly's web site that the Scully "character has evolved to this point now where she is a believer of sorts", and that the new partner will most-likely be a skeptic. Also Skinner, played by Mitch Pileggi, and Krycek, played by Nicholas Lea, will be getting more screen time.
