Sci-Fi TV New WatchEarth: Final Conflict's writer and producer Cory Tynan isn't with the show any longer. This news was reported by the SyFy world website. The site also speculated that Tynan left due to differences with Tribune Entertainment, the show's production company. More changes may be coming for the show, as original cast member David Hemblen has left the series and cast members Richard Chevolleau who plays Augur, Canadian Lisa Howard who plays Lili and Leni Parker who plays Da'an have not yet signed for another season. It's been reported that the next series in the Star Trek phenomenon, won't air until early next year. In an interview with Cinescape magazine, Star Trek: Voyager executive producer Rick Berman stated that they are "very enthusiastic about this new concept." He also said that he didn't think that the series may air as late as September of 2001. While not prepared to comment about the new series yet, he said that he felt that it was going to be a "crucial step for the survival of Star Trek." He also stated that the new series "has to be something unique and fresh, and it can't be a rehashing of one of the previous series." This comment could possibly be considered a reply to fans seeking a new series based on the exploits of Captain Sulu and his starship, Excelsior. Star Trek's legendary actor William Shatner reprised his 3rd Rock from the Sun character The Big Giant Head on Tuesday. The role is that of the Supreme Commander of the Solomons' home planet. The X-Files creator Chris Carter has reportedly stated that he doesn't want to do an eighth season of the hit Sci-Fi series without the show's stars Gillian Anderson (Scully) and David Duchovny (Mulder). He said in USA Today that, "I'm not interested in doing it without David and Gillian." The series marked it's 150th episode on Sunday February 20th. The episode was in the style of the show Cops.
