Veteran atctor John Cleese, of Monty Python fame, plans to produce a show about the Supernatural for ABC television. The show is as yet untitled and will be a half-hour program. The show reportedly will take place in and around the law firm of Karpool, Ruumki & Whetfish. According to reports from Variety the partners of the law firm have have made deals with the devil, thus becoming demons.
Fox has reportedly signed a deal with noted Sci-Fi TV director/producer Kim Manners, who has worked on The X-Files and Star Trek: The Next Generation, to develop a new television series for the network and Chris Carter's Ten Thirteen Production. Alexis Denisof will be join the regular cast of WB's Angel, reprising the role of Wesley Wyndham-Pryce from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The character will replace Doyle (played by Glenn Quinn), who was recently killed off. The star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, has apologized to the activist group Friends of Animals for wearing a real fox shrug in a recent magazine spread. The Washington, D.C. based animal rights group reportedly sent Gellar a video about the treatment of animals in fox and mink farms, prompting a reply from the actress, according to The WB's Buffy and Angel Newsletter.
