Attention Xena fans: Lucy Lawless and husband Rob Tapert, are proud and delighted to announce the birth of their son, Julius Robert Bay Tapert on Saturday, October 16 at 7:01 AM (NZ date/time) in Auckland, New Zealand. the baby was 21 1/2 inches long and weighed 8 lbs, 13 oz. Mother, father, Julius' big sister Daisy Lawless (age 11) and baby are all doing well.

The Henson Company has announced that it has inked a deal with the toy company, Toy Vault, to market and produce action figures and various other novelty items for the hit Sci-Fi series Farscape.

Hanson Co. has also signed a deal with Rittenhouse Archives to market and produce several series of trading cards based on the series. Both product lines are expected to launch sometime next year.

The Henson Co. has also recently announced that Farscape will begin airing on the BBC2 in the UK in late November.

The new Sci-Fi series from Chris Carter entitled "Harsh Realm", is not beinging received well. It has already recieved harsh criticism for it's debut episode. According to reports it may soon become involved in a lawsuit by the creators of the Harsh Realm comic book, Andrew Paquette and James Hudnall. The two are repotedly upset that 'they aren't getting a screen credit for the idea the series is based on'. Chris Carter reportedly has no comment on the situation.

Both the fourth season premiere of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and the debut of it's spin-off Angel have started out strong. It's been reported that the two shows scored big in the ratings with adults aged 18-49 and helped the WB network finish at number 1 on Oct. 5th with 12 to 17 year olds.

The Toy manufacturer Playmates announced plans to discontinue its Star Trek products effective beginning Dec. 31 of this year. According reports on the Toymania web site, Playmates has already closed it's California office and laid off most of it's staff.

Former World Wrestling Federation Heavy-weight champion The Rock, who's real name is Duane Johnson, is set to go head to head with Seven of Nine in an upcoming episode of Star Trek: Voyager. The Rock will reportedly play a Pendari. The episode is set to air sometime in February of next year.
