Sad news:
Famed Sci-Fi author/editor Marion Zimmer Bradley died on Sept. 25th, 1999 at the Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, California; she was 69 years old. Bradley was admitted to hospital after suffering a massive heart attack which left her unconscious on the 21st of September. Bradley wrote the popular novel 'The Mists of Avalon' and it's sequels 'The Forest House' and 'Lady of Avalon'. The Funeral will be held on Sunday October 17th at 2pm at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in Berkeley, California. In other news: According to the Coming Attractions website director James Cameron, after patching up differences with the producers of Terminator 3, now intends to write, direct and produce the new Terminator movie. Also according to the website Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger maybe returning as the the Terminator. Two of the new Sci-Fi programs have scored big in the ratings. Both Relic Hunter and Peter Benchley's Amazon were at the top of the ratings pool for new syndicated shows. Amazon was the highest rated with a preliminary 2.4 (Nielsen rating) and Relic Hunter a close second with a rating of 2.3. Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys' Bruce Campbell 'Autolycus' has been signed to star in the new series from Studios USA and Renaissance Pictures entitled Jack of All Trades. Campbell will star as the lead character Jack Styles. The series is set to begin airing in syndication in January of 2000. Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Seth 'OZ' Green is reportedly taking a break from the series. Green is already hard at work in Canada filming the John Malkovich movie "Knockaround Guys" according to reports in Entertainment Weekly. The Sci-Fi Channel announced plans to add the Sci-Fi series LEXX to it's lineup starting in January of next year.
