Many of you may remember the Sci-fi series "V", the series started out as a mini-series in May of 1983. The story
pitted the Resistance (the good guys) vs the alien reptile-like race called the Visitors (the bad guys) in a classic
good guys vs bad guys battle to save the Earth.
When Doctors and Scientists began to disapear, many humans started to get skeptical and questioning the Visitors' motives and then cameraman Mike Donovan (Marc Singer) discovered what the Visitors really looked like, together they formed the group called the Resistance. The Resistance, led by Dr. Juliet Parish (Faye Grant) and Mike Donovan, soon became all that stood between humanity and the visitors. After the success of the first two part mini-series NBC then ordered a second three part mini-series entitled "V: The Final Battle" which took place some four months after the original and aired in May of 1984. The second mini-series was as big of a "hit" as the first, which led to the weekly series. The series, which premiered on the 26th of October 1984, was cancelled after only one season, the last episode aired on March 22, 1985. The show was then seen via reruns until July 5th 1985. An ending to the series was never filmed, although there was a script developed for it by the creator of Babylon 5 J. Michael Straczynski. The series continues to live on through web sites, video tapes and more. "V" is currently being shown on the Sci-Fi chanel (check local listings for times). Trivia Question: What 1984 Sci-Fi/action movie did Leonardo Cimino, Kyle MacLachlan, Patrick Stewart and José Ferrer costar in? Last Week's answer: What character did Richard Hatch play on Battlestar Galactica? He played 'Captain Apollo'. Go To Page: 1 |
