Not only do I love to watch Sci-Fi Tv shows, but I also love to read the various books that are based on Science Fiction television programs. Many times I've found myself wandering through my local bookstore in search of books that are about or based on the classic/new shows and many times I've asked myself whether or not the books are a wonderful addition to the Sci-Fi TV Universe or not.
At times I find that some of the books do not "live-up" to their hype, just like someof the Sci-Fi TV programs themselves. However, many Sci-Fi Tv novels end up on the Best Seller List. Among the many Sci-Fi Tv show that have been novelized are Babylon 5, Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: DS9, The X-Files, Space Above & Beyond, V: The Series and more. Along with original stories that are based on the Sci-FI Tv shows, there are various episode guides and other assorted reference manuals. These manuals include the Star Trek: TOS Technical Manual, Star Trek's Klingon Dictionary, Babylon 5's Security Manual and more. The novels tend to expand on certain storylines that have been seen on the shows. One example is the novelization of the Science Fiction television show Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Encounter at Farpoint." The "Encounter at Farpoint" novel was a depiction of the 2-hour premiere episode that began the seven year run of the second installment of the Star Trek legacy. This episode told the story of how, while on their way to Farpoint Station to pick up the final members of the crew, Captain Picard and company run into an omnipotent being called the "Q." The Q Continuum has decided to judge humanity on the basis of its violent past. While Picard and crew argue to save humanity, Q decides that he will test them on their mission to Farpoint. If they pass the test humanity is saved, but if they should fail humanity will be doomed. This, in my opinion, is one of the better Sci-Fi TV books available. Below, I've included some of my recommendations for the best books of Sci-FI TV. So without further adieu here's the list: Babylon 5's A Call To Arms - By Robert Sheckley. This is the novelization for the Babylon 5 TV movie "A Call to Arms." Long after the Shadow war, the Interstellar Alliance is about to celebrate its fifth anniversary. However, a darkness waits for it's turn to emerge and shatter the peace of the Alliance, and to take it's revenge. "A Call to Arms" is not only a great movie, but also a great novel.
