Charmed News

According to a report in Variety, the WB series "Charmed" is doing well. The series, which is in it's sixth season is leading the way in some key demographics. Its fall premiere boasted the highest rating on the evening of it's airing among women 12-34 and placed second in the adults 18-34.

Angel News

According to a report from the Associated Press, Joss Whedon, co-creator of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spin-off "Angel" told them that he hopes to bring back original cast member Charisma Carpenter, who portrayed Cordelia Chase on both "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel," sometime during the current season. Even if it's only to wrap up her character's storyline.

Some of you may remember that when Carpenter left the series at the end of last season, her character was in a coma. According to the report Whedon told the AP that Carpenter's character has an "important part to play this season."

Appearances by some of the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" series may or may not be in the works for this season.

Stargate SG-1 News

According to a report on the Sci-Fi Channel's news arm, the Sci-Fi Wire, the upcoming eigth season of the popular series "Stargate SG-1" will be serving as the launching point for a "Stargate" spin-off series.

The spin-off, which would be called "Stargate: Atlantis, is currently under development for the Sci-Fi Channel. The new series will have an all new cast of characters searching for clues that might lead them to the origins of the "Stargate.

Season eight of the popular series is slated for the summer of 2004 and it will bring back the entire ensemble cast fans have grown to love, including Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, and Christopher Judge.

Battlestar Galactica News

According to a report on the Sci-Fi Channel's news arm, the Sci-Fi Wire, the new "Battlestar Galactica" mini-series "Battlestar Galactica: The Lowdown" is well under way and will premiere on December 7.

The new mini series stars among others Jamie Bamber as Apollo, Tricia Helfer as Number Six and Katee Sackhoff as Starbuck.

In Other News

According to Variety, UPN is working on several supernatural-ish dramas for the fall of 2004. They include the as yet untitled hour long series by J. F. Lawton (of "Under Siege"), which would blend in live-action and anime.

The untitled series will tell the story of two actresses that work on a Saturday morning kids show who through their characters' costumes have super powers.
