The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals reportedly said that 'the personal profile information' that is published on Matchmaker.com is 'solely up to the user's discretion' and that 'the company is immune from the suit.' Masterson filed the lawsuit after learning that a profile, which included her address and phone nmber, had been published on the site.

The actress reportedly began to recieve calls and emails from many 'would be dates' who wrongly believed that she was looking for a boyfriend online.
