Wow Did That Month Ever Go By Fast

A little over a month has passed and it's time to update everyone on our progress to be on the road sometime early April. As you may know we have taken jobs for the summer season at a campground / recreation area in southern NY. (If there is a southern NY) It seems like there is so much to do and so little time all the while trying not to overlook any details.

We have been at the flea market every weekend selling our unused or unwanted excess things. Talk about extras we had 53 coffee cups, down to four; I had seven half inch wrenches, down now to two. We had a lot of furniture left from our home that we now can't use. We sold a good amount of it and donated some to charity but there is some that my wife does not want to part with, it will have to be stored for the summer.

Wanting to stay in touch with the Internet for those 5 to 7 days we will actually be on the road (being the tech freak that I am) I bought an adaptor that converts our cell phone into a dial-up modem. First thing out of the box, it the connector that goes to the computer is not compatible with my new laptop. After buying another adaptor to adapt the adaptor (what did he say?) it didn't work. I called the manufacturer support group. After several attempts to contact them they politely inform me that it may never work with the operating system I have in my computer (Windows XP). There was nothing about this on the box or the instructions; I guess it's an ongoing opportunity.

One of the biggest hurdles we had was our old motor home. We finally sold it after nearly six months of trying. We had a lot of fun in that old motor home and it afforded me a place to live for over six months when my job moved me away from home, but I am here to tell you that an old motorhome is a white elephant.

We decided to buy new tires for our fifth wheel as there are cracks in the sidewalls and they are right at that 4-year mark that says that you should change them. Well here is a whole new learning experience. Tires aren't pretty but they are confusing...more on this later I am still investigating.
