Wow what a month. If you will recall from last writing we attended an estate sale and indicated we would be willing to make an offer for the items remaining after the sale ended. We had left them our phone number and went home to await the call.
When we made the deal and paid the people for the remaining items it was about 5pm therefore we would not be able to get all the items out until the next day. We did take two truckloads of things out of the house that evening though. We made plans to meet them back at the house at 9am the next day and went home. When we returned the next day they were there ahead of us and had a lot of things boxed up for us. They also were there while we were ferrying truckloads from that house to ours. We packed the truck probably 5 times and were done removing everything by about 2pm. We went home took showers and literally died not used to working quite so hard. The next day we shuffled stuff, we moved stuff, we unpacked stuff, we repacked stuff, we put E-bay stuff here, and we put flea market stuff there. More unpacking and sorting and repacking...WAIT!!!! Where is that little Hummel figurine that was in the house? Now that you mention it have you seen that set of green glasses with the stems? Or for that matter the cute little teapot with the gold top? WAIT! WAIT! Have we been ripped off? If who ripped us off, and if we have what do we do about it? Or better yet what can we do about it? After several rounds of trying to remember exactly what happened when and trying to remember whom, when, what and where everyone and everything was. We decided that in fact we were missing several items that were there when we made the deal but in the final outcome were not there. Now what to do? Well can't prove anything cause we have no proof that these things were there to start with and probably the people we were talking to were the culprits anyhow. Go To Page: 1 2
