Just a Few More Thoughts

* Got a big window on our fifth wheel or trailer? Get a sunshade for it they keep out the heat and prevent sun damage especially below the Mason-Dixon Line. Mine was 54" cost a little over $100.00 including shipping. I put the thing on myself, not hard at all, and saved $60.00.

* Here is a garmented thing. If you keep your fuel tanks full the price of fuel will drop and you have got no room.

* One bicycle hanging from your ladder might be OK but if you have two bikes find an alternate method and use your ladder to hang your 6' ladder.

* If you are a workamper you never stop looking for work.

* By the way it seems to me that more and more jobs are getting away from including a free site and now wanting more and more hours for said site.

* Is it just me or do the jobs seem to keep changing from the listings to the conversation on the phone and when you arrive?

* And another thing, everyone says get it in writing. Personally I agree, but I have very little luck actually getting it in writing.

* I wish that employers would take a little more time proof reading their ads rather than worrying about word count. There are a lot of ads out there that just don't make sense no matter how many times you read them.

* If you have been parked for the summer, don't forget to check those tire pressures before you leave for your next adventure.

* And while you are down there take a good look at the sidewalls on those tires. Spotting those cracks before you get on the road can save a lot of damage, money and time.

* And while you are there you just might as well put on that UV protecting stuff, again this will extend the life of your tires.

* We went geocaching the other day what a great way to get a history lesson about the area you are in (www.geocaching.com). We went to an old gold mine (circa 1850) that the remains of several of the houses that they lived in were in ruins but you could tell a lot of the house detail. Another was a place where they smelted copper the neat thing here was the houses were dug into the rock sides of the hills. These rock dwellings were 10 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. A great advantage in the Mojave desert during the very hot summers. The point here is that the locals knew very little about either of these sites.
