New Year--New Outlook

Hard at work on puter
Well, the groundhog saw his shadow on the second day of this month. According to folklore, that means we will be having another six weeks of winter. But today, in my neck of the woods, the temperature was in the mid fifties with even warmer temperatures predicted for tomorrow. This means that my colorful giant crocuses and assortment of tulips will be pushing themselves out of the ground pretty soon. Won’t be too soon for me—I’ve seen all I want to see of winter, and now am good and ready for spring and lots of gardening!

Thank you for allowing me to post such a self-indulgent article today. There will be a regular article in just a couple of days. Until then, take care of yourselves and start planning your gardens!
