Who ever gets dressed and ready first does not have to do the breakfast dishes! He knows that is a great way to get me up, dressed and out the door quickly! It has become a family joke between us." Samuel wrote: "I keep my interest in running all year round. It doesn't matter that it is 20 degrees or that it may be snowing. Here in Ohio it can get mighty cold during the winter, but that never bothers me. The reason I guess I stay motivated is that I am grateful to be alive at all. I had a heart attack three years ago and started walking, then running to get into shape after I had a heart bypass done. Just being alive is motivation for me!" We always train together and I must admit it is a friendly competition we have going on. But I have never quite beaten him and I intend to do that this year! I guess the real reason I keep training though is because we get to run together. On days I wouldn't bother, he urges me to get out the door. I do the same for him.
