Conclusion Of Miracle Marathon Series.

not to take things for granted. You wouldn't find big birthday parties or gifts under the Christmas tree in our house. We didn't have much materially. But we had a loving family. We knew about value and knew that happiness didn't have anything to do with a dollar.

Our parents taught us early in our lives the most important lesson in life: Giving is better than receiving. The Miracle Marathon was supposed to put smiles on the faces of these critically ill children and their families. To make a difference in their lives. We certainly accomplished that. But the truth is that by reaching out to these families, it was us, the runners' lives that were changed the most.

It was these little angels who taught us what it really means to be tough and never give up. They showed us to dream and to hope. It was these families who showed us what is the most important, the most valuable. Memories.

When the dust settles, the music dies, pictures fade away, loved ones pass away, all we have left are memories.

At the writing of this, three weeks have now gone by since our journey ended. Not a single day went by that I didn't have tears swelling up in my eyes while reminiscing this journey: the places we been to and the smiles on the children's faces, my teammates. I am sure that 15, 20 years from now, I would still feel the same!

This is the magic Camp Sunshine has on everyone that was touched by it. By sharing with you our stories here, I hope you see that how wonderful this event is as well as Camp Sunshine. I knew it was something special when on this Father's Day many fathers with tearful eyes thanked us and offered to hug us! This maybe the end of our Miracle Marathon journey but the truth is that we have only just begun.

For this marathon there is no finish line.
