Some New Run Sites.

© Lynn Seely

Hello everyone. With winter upon us I decided it would be a good time to search out some new web sites for you to enjoy. So here are some I think you will be happy to spend time at.

Hal Higdon is well known in the running community and his web site is great. Located at www.halhigdon.com, the site covers a variety of run subjects.

I quote; "Hal Higdon is a Senior Writer for Runners World, is on the run and online. Training. Tips. Travel. Skiing. Art. Order Books by Hal Higdon. Have a question? Check the Bulletin Boards on Virtual Training for Hal's answers to many questions, or to ask one yourself."

I spent quite a lot of time checking out his web site and still didn't get to everything! Be sure to check it out.

Another web site that I found was one that is set up for the marathoner. The entire focus of this web site is to cover every aspect of your trip. They include travel, accommodations, parties, tours and even the entry to the marathon of your choice! Overseas marathon planned? No problem! Just contact them and ask for information. You will find them at; www.marathonadventures.com.

Looking for a place that your kid can enjoy? Even better, how about one that is related to running? Well here is a great web site called Kids Running. This is a safe place for your children to be. They have a lot of fun stuff there and it may just motivate your children to lace up their running shoes.

Another interesting running site I happened across this week is one that is based in Michigan. They have an online store as well as stores you can go to and shop at (5 locations) and they also have running clinics and much more. Go take a look at them this week. You will be glad you did. The people at Running Fit (I love that name!) will be glad to help you.

This is a good time to get that weight training in as well as start training for the running season that will soon be upon us.

Now I know you folks down south don't have a problem training in the snow - cause there isn't any! But those of us that live in colder climates may enjoy spring just a tad more than you. That is - when it finally gets here.

Stay safe. Run well. And always, always listen to your body. After all, it may just know what it is talking about!
