Today I want to cover two topics with you.

First is disc health and how important Glucosamine is. If you've heard all this before, then just scroll on down to the runner story that follows this. Thanks!

I recently watched a program on TV that discussed Glucosamine and Chondroitin. This information is here for those who are concerned about disc health. Apparently, there is disagreement over whether the body can absorb and use the Chondrotin due to the fact that is contain large molecules. However, all agree on the wonderful benefits of using Glucosamine. If you have joints that ached or swell, have suffered damaged discs in your spine or if you have a cartilage problem in your knees then it is worth it to read the information about this wonderful , natural supplement.

Do not forget that your body needs WATER!! Without it, you are jeopardizing your disc health as well as overall health. Drink at least 8 glasses each day! If you are considering taking Glucosamine, make sure to increase your water. Why? Because that allows your body to take the Glucosamine to where you need it and to repair the damage. And that takes water. Think about it. You need water to repair and carry the toxins and waste to your kidneys. And what is the main ingredient of the human body? Why water of course.

Glucosamine (GLU-COSE-A-MINE)

Glucosamine stimulates the manufacture of collage, which is the protein portion of a fibrous substance that holds joints together. Collagen is also the main component of the shock-absorbing cushion called articular cartilage - the white smooth surface which covers the ends of body joints in the fingers, wrists, knees, etc.

Glucosamine helps bind water in the cartilage matrix. It has also been shown to help produce more collagen and also normalizes cartilage metabolism, which helps to keep the cartilage from breaking down. Glucosamine can actually "jump-start" the production of the cartilage's key elements and can also protect these same elements. Glucosamine can help the body repair
