Lynn Warner has been involved with running since 1970. Running was started mainly for health reasons, but grew into a passion. Sound familiar?

He says, "In 1991 one of our state papers sold out and because of that, we lost coverage on long distance running events in Arkansas. After a long period of debating whether I wanted to start a state running magazine, I finally decided to print a trial edition and hand it out at our state meeting in November 1991.

Lynn Warner explains, "I love running and everything about it even though I have never competed on any level except amateur level.

"Last year I was voted into the Arkansas RoadRunners Hall Fame for service. I have received numerous awards for volunteering. I received the Outstanding Media Award the four years I published the magazine. "This Hall of Fame award has been my greatest reward for being associated with running in Arkansas; because you are voted in by other runners in the state.

" I was one of the leaders in forming a running club here in Camden, Arkansas. We're not a large, but do work with the high school runners and sponsor a local 5K each year.

" I am administrator of a high school scholarship fund for a grandson that died in 1995. We give a scholarship, either $500 or $1000 each year to a graduating senior from his high school. We have been responsible for five at his school and several at other local schools. This is awarded each June at graduation.
