Training is an Individual Thing.

Training is not something that should be dictated to you by any one else. But I will encourage you to be smart about it.

We all have our reasans for wanting to stay in shape as well as we all have our own reasons for running.

Some of us want to stay healthy as we age. Some of us want to slow down the clock. Others like to compete no matter what the age. And we can because in a race, in a running event, we are all in certain age categories - thus making it a much more fair competition for each of us.

Others of us have stared to exercise and decided running was the best choice for us in keeping blood pressure down, weight at a healthy level or keeping the heart strong.

But make no mistake. You do need to do your research. You do need to start out slow and work your way up to running.

And you should absloutely do two things.

First, have a complete examination by your doctor. Second, for goodness sake buy a heart montior!

You need to know how hard your heart is working and what you heart rate is.

Do some research so you know the why's and why-nots of heart monitor training. You can find information right here at this topic.
