The crocus in my garden bloomed last week and pansies from the grocery store inspired me to replant my front porch flower pots. I'm anticipating a warm season of light as the sun warms the earth, as well as growth and change. In our own family, we have grown by one new member. Our oldest son said wedding vows last week-end with his beloved. Their wedding colors were lavendar and green, and we've been surrounded by those light colors as winter's faded here in northern Utah. As I contemplated these changes, I decided that an article that incorporated products and projects that provided a sense of light and clarity would be appropriate to the season. My first stop was Ranger Ink's website. I visited to view their new Stamp Stix product, because I thought it would provide you with a rubber stamp product you could use with your children or grandchildren. The product comes in the following varieties: sea life, dinosaurs,x-tremee sports, retroo, girl power, faces, hearts & flowers, butterflies & bugs, aliens, robots, celestial and friendship. Each set has sixthemedd stamps matched with washable stamp pads. The identifying theme is reflected in the top of thestixx, making clean up and storage easier. Let the kids make their own Mother's Day or May Day cards using the hearts and flowers or butterflies and bugs. While at the Ranger site: http://www.rangerink.com I found a project ChuckiekTakaraara using her Clearly Treasures product. It totally fit the bill for a light, clear rubber stamp project. The project can found at http://www.rangerink.com/Chuckie_Journal... and uses Ranger's Heat Set Ink that gives a brilliant stained glass look to clear surfaces. Try it with the acrylics described in the next paragraph or use the heat set ink with your favorite shrink art product. If you've ever attended a rubber stamp show and seChuckiekie in action, you'll have some idea of this woman's incredible creativity. She makes even the most complicated project look easy and her laid back style convinces you that, in a matter of minutes, you'll be creating projects like hers. I first mChuckiekie attradeshowhow where she crafted a beautiful pin for me with this funny little piece of acrylic. The acrylic has come along way since then. You can now find acrylic in bookmarks, circle and square frame sets, tags that are large or small, thick or thin, rectangle and square shapes, kimono pins, horizontal pins with holes that allow you to hang charms or shrink art pieces from the acrylic shape, and journal covers. Thanks Chuckie'se's inspirational product you can create dynamic projects for friends and family that will reflect spring's light, airy beauty. These pieces are available at http://www.aasimagick.com Visit the section on products and go to the area named Clearly Treasures to find the complete selection. The project on the Ranger Ink site features the journal cover and is breathtakingly lovely. Go To Page: 1 2
