Christmas gives stampers an ideal opportunity to use their skills. Although your Christmas list maybe getting longer and longer, think of this has the one chance to reconnect with long lost friends and loved ones. But even the most altruistic stamper has to acknowledge their time limitations right? To that end, here are some tips to make your greetings go together quickly but creatively.

Even if you prefer the standard Christmas letter format, use a stamp to add a unique look. The Rollagraph from Clearsnap is perfect for this application. If you've been stamping forever you are probably familiar with this product, but if you are new to stamping you may have not had a chance to explore the possibilites this product gives your projects. Basically, the Rollagraph is designs on a wheel. You are stamping in a line, with the symbols repeating every so often. There are regular Rollagraph wheels, as well as Mini-Rollagraph designs. Most craft stores will carry a few styles, but many internet sites carry almost complete lines of these products. The original Rollagraph is about l inch from top to bottom and will create a design 7 inches long. You will usually find the wheels sold in combination with the handle that has an ink cartridge loaded in it, but you can go to http://www.stampandgo.com/PCROLLAGRAPHpa... and purchase a handle that doesn't hold the ink cartridge, so that you can choose the color you'd like to use.

Create your family newsletter and allow room for a 1 inch border at the top and bottom. After printing the copies of your letter on plain paper, run the Rollagraph design you've chosen on both the top and bottom of your letter. You'll have several choices of styles. There are wheels with designs that show kids playing in the snow, (Snowfun), Holiday Lights, a decorated tree, (Deck the Halls). This site also shows you choices of ink colors.

As you explore the Rollagraph further, you might want to look at other designs. http://www.gotastamp.com/browse.asp?cat=... shows the Holly style, Snowflakes and Snowscape, a Currier and Ives type of look. The Snowflakes would look wonderful on a dark color cardstock with white ink.

http:www.rubberd.com/rollagr.htm-7k is another source for alternative Rollagraph styles, as well as a site that carries Mini-Rollagraphs. The styles, Best of Season and Best Xmas Cups could be used on your family newsletter, but also consider using the Mini-Rollagraphs Live, Love, Laugh and Friends. Rollagraphs are a product from Clearsnap, so if you'd like to see all the styles you'll need to go to their site at http://www.clearsnap.com
