Its off to Chicago for this Rubber Stamp addict. I'm going to the Windy City to the ACCI trade show and conference at the Rosemont Convention Center. Hopefully, I'll be able to come back loaded with information on the hottest trends, the newest products and lots of fun sites to "prescribe" for your summer stamping fever. I'm anxious to see whats been developed since the big HIA show in January. It will be fun to talk to the manufacturers, editors and designers and find out what their favorite places to visit are.
Speaking of shows, I also had an opportunity to attend the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington Texas this month. Great American is awesome...and will be held next year at the end of May. If you are anywhere near Texas, mark you calendar now and plan to attend. Rubber stampers had many booths full of fun products available...and of course there were booths full of stickers, die-cuts and the most marvelous paper. Paper Adventures has several new styles from metallics to soft vellums that would be wonderful to stamp on. An entire booth was devoted to Stamps by Judith, a line with wonderful art by a very creative artist. Lots of fun animals and clever small stamps to create borders or all over patterns on paper. One of my favorites, the Clearstamp booth, was full of creative designs to ooh and ahh over. I could have spent the day just looking at the display models there. If you haven't seen the Clearstamp line you definitely want to check them out...especially if you are looking for a high-end, sophisticated look that is simple to achieve...but looks like you took hours creating!http://www.clearstamp.com
Dee Gruenig was in attendance and I had the opportunity to visit with her for a few moments and see her new product line of inks. These amazing colors allow you to be the artist and design your own papers. These are from the Posh Impressions line and can be see at Dee's website http://www.poshimpressions.com
