During the course of my time as editor, I've come upon several sites and items that didn't necessarily fit the topic I had chosen for the article I was working on. I decided since summer is slower and more relaxed, (some of you reading this are saying...ha!), that it would be o.k. to combine these into a potpourri of stamp sites for you to try. So take a few minutes to explore the following sites and what they have to offer.
The page by Barbi is a very thorough stamping site. She's done a great job of setting up sites for you to surf from her link, as well as using a rating system so you can check out her favorites. The part of her site that touched me the most, however, was her link to information about mailing servicemen. If you are looking for a way to save money but get lots of stamps check out the grab bag links. These companies offer collections of stamps that may turn out to be your favorites. Some are discontinued, some one of a kinds but each of the grab bags offered contain treasures untold. Go to http://www.littlebit.com for a list of grab bag links.
Then when your new stamps arrive, take a minute and stamp with your kids. Purchase some muslin fabric, (about 2 yards) and wash it to remove the sizing. Using fabric ink or acrylic paint allow them to choose a few stamps...the larger the better and stamp designs all over the muslin. Follow directions for heat setting so the stamps will be preserved and even allow them to place a thumbprint or handprint and then sign the creation with a fabric pen. Use this stamped fabric as your family picnic tablecloth and enjoy their artwork all summer! Till next time...Happy Stampin!
