Stamping by the BookWhen my rubber stamping gets too consistent I turn to several different books to give my creative "battery" a jump start. There are lots of great books out there and probably almost as many sites with reviews of those books. But here are a few you can check out in your spare time! Amazon.com is always a good place to start for most books topics and rubber stamping is no exception. Although you are mostly dealing with cover art and a brief synopsis of the contents the blurb on Amazon can give you enough information to allow you assess whether you want further information on a particular book. I like the section that shows what other purchases a person made when they purchase the book you are looking over...it often leads you to a volume you might not otherwise have learned about through conventional channels. On the AllCrafts site there are brief reviews of several rubber stamp books. This site also features lots of free projects to try so its definitely worth checking out. The url is http://www.allcrafts.net Choose the stamping section and scroll down until you hit the book reviews. http://www.22cool.com is always a great place to check out anything...but there book reviews are wonderful. These guys have been around the block so if they recommend a book or say that it gave them some special tips or techniques its definitely worth looking into. I like that they give you more than just a basic review...letting you know why they found it interesting or how they used the techniques in their own applications. It never hurts to go back to Rubber Trouble http://www.rubbertrouble.com when you are looking for insight into rubber stamping books. Practical advise is given here as well so it makes your decision on which book to purchase easier. After all, we really want to spend the money on stamps! Till next time...Happy Stampin'
