Tips, Techniques and Tools...to make your Stamping Easier

Part of the joy of editing for this site is keeping up on all the new things available for our craft. From tips to new rubber stamping tools, the web is always a great source for ideas and projects. Many of the new dotcom. sites have all the supplies available to order along with the project photo and instructions for you to download.

One such site is http://www.craftshop.com. This site allows you to view a project and purchase all the products from paper to ink used in the project right at the site. Its a real asset to busy crafter, (is there another kind), who don't have time to search all over for the correct stamp or the right color of ink. The site is divided into different areas, making it easy to navigate.

Another great site is http://www.rangerink.com. This site features the work of many of today's top stamp artists from Dee Gruenig to Suze Weinberg. These artists have contributed more then just great projects to the rubber stamp world. Lots of great products have come out of their efforts and experimentations. Ranger even has a new line of Scented Inks that I'm anxious to try on greeting cards for friends and family. Wouldn't it be fun to send mail that held your special "scent"...that would linger on the air just like your perfume.

If you are a big embossing fan you need to check out http://www.inkerbells.com. They have a great product that eliminates the need for folded pieces of paper or a paper plate with a crease down the middle. The product is called a "Tidy Tray" and comes in two sizes, small and large. Lay your project in the tray and use your powder as you normally would. When you are finished and remove your project the powder is contained in the tray. A spout at the end of the tray allows you to pour your powder back into its' container quickly and easily. Great Gadget...and very inexpensive.

If you love to decorate your envelopes as well as the contents, you have to visit http://www.goodstuffhere.com. They have an envelope called the Sticker envelope that measures 14 inches in length. It makes an awesome canvas for your favorite stamp techniques. The envelope is pictured on this page along with directions for how to duplicate the design...but as you can see, there's plenty of room for you to use your own creativity.

I hope you'll find time in the next week or so to check out some of these fun sites and try some of these
