Gift

Recently a friend gave me a gift. It was the tiniest thank you gift with a note on handmade paper inside. This is that gift.

Since then I have been thinking about possible uses for it. I have decided that I will do a little butterfly for every page. A mural that has me presently engaged requires that I draw and observe a large number of butterflies. I will be doing some with stencils and lately I have been attracted to rubber stamping and embossing.
????

I think that as I work on each image of a butterfly I will paint a small watercolour of it and glue it to a page. The maker of the gift is a mural artist, hand made paper and book creator and writer. Her name is Kez. This weekend she is putting the finishing touches on a new course describing how to make these artistic jewels.

Yes!
Yet again serendipity has afforded us another of those magical concoctions. It fits soooo perfectly into the Eclectic make up of the Arts and Crafts section of the Suite repertoire.
Well you ask? Really this time she has gone too far!

How can Jo even think about relating all this to rubber stamping?

I'll explain.

Over the last few weeks I have decided to change my artistic working name to Breeze. This decision has come about 'viz a viz' process of ritualistic writing inspired by the classic artists' work book - The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. Waking up painting and writing has kindled a theme of ..... butterflies being lifted on the breeze of God's love. This leit motif permeated harmoniously through writing and painting time and time again. I have listened to my muse and chosen Breeze as my working name. Here is an excerpt from an article about to be published.
So nothing really matters on this thorny, rocky path. Come into the rays of God’s own love - instead of the stream of your own wrath. You will find a world of abundance and the wonder of God’s amazing ways will be splashing all around you in a dance of butterflies.

They will be swishing and a-flittering. They will be surfing on slithers of love. They will offer hope and happiness. It will shower from above. There will be a regal motto and it will never leave your side. It is a slogan of abundance that can be a perpetual guide. You will learn that nothing matters. Learn not to even care. On the breeze of God’s love there eventuates, a faith that will get you there.
