** MU*ING **
The new edition of Larry Homer's ON THE PROPER CARE AND FEEDING OF MUSHES, is up for your enjoyment. It's a collection of things to ponder before opening your MU*, with tips on roleplaying mixed in for us ordinary RPers. On the dark side of MUD, there's an addition to the WOD archives. Not the usual collection of new bloodlines and imaginative disciplines. This is meant to be a treasury of stories and backgrounds.
SHORECON'98 Twenty-four hours a day of gaming fun and madness, Shorecon '98 will run LARPS, historical RPGS, showcase anime, and have more demonstrations and events (180, at last count) than anyone could have time to check out. If that's not enough, the 3rd Annual Magic Pentathalon will be held. For more info, e-mail info@multigenre.com or call (732) 657-3311.
Tired of reading IRC interviews via transcripts? Here's a chance to ask your questions. Lucian P. Smith, 1997 IF Competition first place award winner for Edifice, will be interviewed at the IF Mud on Saturday, Apr. 25, 1 p.m. Pacific, 4 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. GMT. To join in, come to IF Mud. If you show up early, you'll have time to choose a name and password to log in as something other than "guest." ; ) The interview usually lasts about 30 to 40 minutes, with a Q & A session afterwards, with a total running time of about an hour and a half. Yes, I've been threatening this for a while. : ) In the interests of making this a useful, fun place for gamers, there's (really) few questions for you to answer. Post your replies using the discussion groups here, or e-mail me. Please take the time to answer; your feedback is the only way this column can get better. Thanks, and RP On! 1. What types of RP games do you play? 2. What's your best RP experience? Your worst? Funniest? 3. What would you like to see in this column? 4. What's your background as far as running a game? 5. What's the most useful part of this page for you? Least? 6. Would you be interested in an archive of MU* reviews? If so, what sort of ranking system would you use? 7. * This question left intentionally blank for any other comments you have* Go To Page: 1 2
