Now that I'm developing a latent interest in LARP, I've been exploring related links. Here's an assortment of interesting sites:
For once, a site that actually lives up to its title, at The Costume Site. No matter what genre, a RP can find out how to add that perfect touch to a costume. For the do-it-yourselfers, there are instructions. For the rest of us, there are ample sources. This site is easy to scan and goes beyond the expected by including event listings and an image gallery. Still fumbling for a costume? Check another fine resource, this one with a medieval flavour and United Kingdom bent. Doubtless, there are readers out there muttering, "What the heck is a LARP?" And then there are readers going, "Yeah, yeah, I know what a LARP is, and gosh darn it, I even have a costume... but where can I find a game?" The Interactive Literature Foundation keeps a calendar of locations. For us White Wolf players, there's The Camarilla to help out. With any luck, I'll shortly be enjoying a LARP for the first time. (Kinda gives the impression that it may be a recurring topic, eh?) Share your resources and experiences! The more, the merrier. Here we go again. : ) Stubborn, aren't I? Post your replies using the discussion groups here or e-mail me. Please take the time to answer; your feedback is the only way this column can get better. Thanks, and RP On!
