1. The Netherlands. The queens were Queen Wilhelmina, Queen Juliana, and the current monarch, Queen Beatrix.

2. False. "Bloody Mary" (so called because of her persecution of Protestants) was Queen Mary I. She reigned from 1553 to 1558. Mary II ruled jointly with her husband, William III, from 1688 until her death in 1694.

3. Alexandrina. This name was given to her at the insistence of King George III, who vetoed every other name her parents suggested. The future queen was called "Drina" as a small child, but soon began using her second name, Victoria.

4. Victoria. She ruled for 64 years, 20 years longer than Elizabeth I.

5. True. The queen is the "fountain" of England's law, and is not personally subject to it.

6. Castile. Her husband, Ferdinand, was the king of Aragon. Isabella reigned from 1474 to 1504.

7. China. Empress Wu ruled from 695 to 705.

8. False. Hatshepsut lived about 1,400 years before Cleopatra.

9. Queen Christina. She became queen in 1632, when she was six years old, and abdicated in 1654. She later tried to regain her throne, but failed.

10. Catherine the Great, empress of Russia (Catherine II), who reigned from 1729 to 1796.
